Staff Selection Commission, SSC has released an addendum to its Junior Engineer, JE recruitment examination 2017. Candidates who have or are planning to apply for the SSC JE 2017 are requested to check the changes in cut off date in the minimum educational qualification on ssc.nic.in. As per the new notice released, candidates have to have completed and acquired the the minimum educational qualification till January 1, 2018. Rest of the content of the official notice remain unchanged.
As per the initial notification, the candidates who would be called for document verification were required to prove that they have acquired the minimum education qualification on or before August 1, 2018. This clause has been revised and the cut off date for having acquired the educational degree has been shifted from August 1 to January 1, 2018. Related News | Official Website
What it essentially means is that candidates who are in their final year of engineering and would be writing their examination in March 2018 would not be eligible to apply. The official notice was released on the website on November 2, 2017. Candidates can check the same on the official website ssc.nic.in. Please do make a note that the rest of the content for the notification has not been changes, including the age limit.
